Created in the 12th century, the "Arch" belonged in the 18th century to the Gumpelzhaimers, a Regensburg patrician family. For over 20 years now, guests from all over the world have been able to experience history up close at the Altstadthotel Arch.
During the core renovation, special attention was paid to the preservation of the house. The 87 rooms provide a unique atmosphere through historical elements, antiques and loving details. High-quality textures and warm lighting elements round out the living comfort.
At the beginning of 2023, newly renovated rooms were added, which impress with a purist design and the use of selected natural materials and exclusive fabrics with a modern color concept. But even here, nostalgia resonates, for example in the form of historic giant photo prints. These show the Regensburg of yesteryear and thus give the rooms that flair that can only come from history.
In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast in our newly renovated breakfast room - including Gothic pointed arches and a view of the beautiful Haidplatz.
