In 1276, Bishop Leo consecrated the newly rebuilt cathedral laying the foundation for one of Germany's most significant Gothic cathedrals. 750 years later, Regensburg celebrates this anniversary with a year-long programme of events: concerts, exhibitions, services and light installations that illuminate the cathedral from within and without. The doors stand wide open – for believers, art lovers and anyone who wishes to draw a little closer to the secret of this centuries-old building.
Altstadthotel Arch is just a few minutes' walk from the Domplatz, ideal for anyone looking to combine the anniversary year with a stay in Regensburg.
