Masterpieces uses the empty walls and ceiling of the swimming pool as a neutral canvas on which famous religious buildings from diverse cultures are erected and develop a mysterious life of their own.
Thus, we suddenly find ourselves beneath Michelangelo's famous ceiling fresco in the Sistine Chapel, marvel at the delicate Gothic stained-glass windows of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, and lose ourselves in the endless colonnades of the Mosque of Córdoba.
The nearly 30-minute show repeatedly highlights individual architectural details and ornaments, showcasing them in surprising ways: The onion domes of St. Basil's Cathedral begin to rotate, the colorful rose windows of the Sagrada Familia pulsate and send vibrant light signals across the ceiling – a breathtaking spectacle of colors and forms.
The immersive journey spans centuries and continents: From the intricate sandstone reliefs of Angkor Wat to the turquoise splendor of the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan, the indoor swimming pool becomes a meeting point of diverse architectural cultures.
